Have you considered making this into a full roguelite/like game? I absolutely love this game and have ever since I found out about it like a year ago, and was always disappointed that I couldn't play more of it. INFINITELY.  You could charge like $35+ for a full version of this and I would buy it no questions asked.

If you do, also consider a switch port. This would be the perfect game on the go and would join Inscryption and Slay the Spire as my "On the Go Deckbuilders" in that regard

I think it would be better if it got 50% - 100% - 150% more health from health-giving effects.

The glitch happens if you have less than 3 coins,  because the game is like "Oh you don't have 3 coins? That's not enough to buy a pet, sorry"

Goldfish is a little broken. The gold discount normally works, however if you try to buy a pet when you have less than 3 coins, it says you don't have enough.

I disagree about wind up key. Even before its recent buff, it could be used to save a line of babies that you knew would get eaten anyway. The only other thing I could think of for it is if it could launch salvation manually, that would be nice.

New item: Odd Mushroom. Infinite use. When used on a baby, it's fire rate with increase, but it will lose accuracy, eventually shooting in random directions and hitting nothing. Would have a limit per baby. The baby's eyes would start to get swirlier and swirlier, being hypnosis-looking eyes by the maximum use of 9.

I like this idea a lot! The Jacob and Esau one just being a challenge is a little weird to me though. I think maybe they could start with double baby, multidimensional baby, the deserter, and brother bobby, as well as spawn 2 copies of a baby, that take twice as many hearts. Other ones I can think of:

Maggy: Starts with candy heart, and <3, but replaces little chad with double baby. Simple character.

Cain: All active items give you a bunch of coins instead, and you can buy babies at the shop. Also starts with Abel instead of brother bobby.

Judas: Start with no chargers. When you die, you come back, and all babies turn into shadow versions. Shadow versions gain double damage, but cost twice as much and have less health.

B.Baby: Start with the poop, and replace Lil' C.H.A.D. with a new baby called The Relic. This relic takes twice as long, but gives Soul Hearts, which count as double the hearts, but take up the same amount of space in hard mode and such. Meant to be a challenging character.

Eve: Start with a new item called Dead Bird. This makes it so when a baby dies, a bird spawns that harrases and deals damage to the baby's killer. Also, All babies start with lower base damage, but deal 2x the original damage at low health.

Samson: Whenever you lose a charger, all babies gain damage for the chapter. Simple character.

Azazel: Start with a new Lil' Brim baby. All babies have limited range, but can be placed on obstacles. Starts with a unique item called "Hemoptysis", which makes monsters in a 3x3 area take double damage from Lil' Brim.

Lazarus: Revives, but after revival, all heart producers give only 25 hearts each. Simple character.

Eden: Starts with little chad, a random defense baby, a random attacking baby, and a random support baby. Also starts with either 2 random quality 1 items, a random quality 2 item, or a random active item.

Lilith: All babies are blindfolded and have a little incubus floating around. These can attack monsters on the left or right of the baby. Start with lil' chad, demon baby, a new Gello Baby, that shoots normally but whips monsters that get within 3 tiles, and a succubus that boosts the damage of babies in a 5x5 area. Start with box of friends, which summons a second incubus on a baby (and would normally summon one extra incubus on a baby for other character).

The Keeper: All babies start with their shots alternating between triple and quad shot, but much lower health (Like 6 hits from a gaper). You can spend coins to heal your babies.

Apollyon. Starts with the normal deck, as well as a new "Void" Item. All babies start with slightly lower stats, however the void item destroys a baby to give random stat upgrades to babies in a 3x3 area around it. The more the destroyed baby costs, the more stat ups.

The Forgotten: the middle 4 slots are dug up, and cannot have things placed on them. In the middle of these 4 slots is a skull linked to the soul. The skull will attack enemies that get close, and you can use the mouse to move the soul, which shoots like ghost baby.

Bethany: Start with the relic instead of Bob's Brain. Soul hearts charge up the active item. Beth starts with Book of Virtues, which summons a low damage wisp baby. The wisp baby changes depending on what active item is combined with book of virtues.

I think it would be cool if The Lost also started with Lost Soul, allowing you to actually use the 666 hearts to summon it.

Lost Souls can only appear on the 3rd level of each chapter, or so I've heard.

Music volume is already an option. I don't know what you mean by "interact with a bar" but you can use 1-5 to pick babies, q for shovel, and e for active item if that's what you mean.

Little Monstro would be a 200-banger which takes a long time to charge up but then launches a barrage of tears in a 3x3 in front of it.

Little brim would be another 200-banger which takes a long time to charge, then does a large amount of damage to the whole lane in front of it.

I doubt they'd add that since Stopwatch is already in the game.

Once you've encountered every baby, no more will show up. In future situations like this, try to get mystery gift, as it will give you a very strong baby if you use it after finding every other one.

(1 edit)

Here's what all the pills do, if it helps.

Power Pill: Has different effects for each baby, but mostly boosts their power.

Speed up: It does increase the speed of babies, you probably just can't notice.

Speed down: is a negative pill, like the ones in Isaac.

Percs!: Gives a shield to a baby, that can take extra damage, as well as block instakills (same as Book of Shadows)

Something's Wrong: Causes a baby to shoot a random tear from a pool of all tears in the game (except crispy baby shots because of a bug). Best used on brother bobby.

Full Health: Self explanatory.

All the pills other than something's wrong do work on heart producers, including power pills, which make them give 75 hearts.

As for shops: In my experiences, I have actually almost always had over 100 coins, especially on the first floor. Assuming you keep all chargers (which you should on the first floor), you will get 72 coins from them. Then, you get what seems to be about 20-25 coins from the boss. This should bring you to over 90 coins. The fact you haven't had enough means you probably haven't picked up coins on the floor, either because you haven't noticed them, or because you've gotten extremely unlucky and none have spawned. Coins can drop from poops, enemies, and three drop from yellow champions, and coins can be pennies, nickels, and dimes. You would need to get 2-7 depending on which of my estimates for boss drops are right.

Getting a 99c item may not always be the correct choice anyway. For instance, due to only one negative pill currently being in the game, Phd is pretty unhelpful.

I hope this helps!

TLDR at the bottom.

Not sure if this is well known, or I am a discoverer of great knowledge, but I found an amazing hidden ability to the Notched Axe. I was on the second loop on It's All Mine II.  A stoner had unfortunately broken through my line of deserters, and this was early enough in the level that my back line wouldn't be enough to destroy it. I don't know how this clicked in my brain (maybe due to stoners having obstacle-like attributes?) but in a moment of desperation, I grabbed the Notched Axe, and, sure enough, it took away the remaining health of the stoner!

Haven't been able to test on other enemies, but it doesn't work on all enemies, since I tried a gaper.  I'm guessing it works on hardies, and possibly the helmets of hardheads, the former of which could be immensely helpful. This would make this item one of the better ones on Mines, especially in later loops.

TLDR: Notched axe can destroy Stoners, probably hardies, and potentially hardhead helms. Item good on mines.

I've extracted the zip, and tried opening the auto updater, but it hasn't done anything. I also tried moving the game into the same folder as the auto installer (along with all the other files) but it hasn't worked. I've even tried moving it into that little folder inside the folder (titled "ref"), but that also hasn't worked. How do I actually open the auto updater?
